Success

After about 2 days of my website being down i have finally got it working now. it was really annoying me i hadn't a clue what had happened. I had recently bought new hosting from a different provider, i was using GoDaddy but i am now using Lunarpages.

When i signed up for the hosting on Lunarpages apparently they did not set my account up properly, this caused me to not be able to transfer my files onto my server using FTP or by using there Control Panel, everytime i tried logging in it said 'Login Failed' saying that  my Username and Password was wrong! So i decided i would contact the tech support and they quickly fixed my problem, they told me that my account was setup wrong so they ended up changing me a different server, i didn't care which server i was on once it worked.

So it is all working now, so i am happy :). I have definitely noticed the difference on this new hosting account, i find that my website loads much faster and it does not jump when scrolling down the page, i dunno what was going on with the GoDaddy server but i would definitely not recommend using it, i would recommend using the Lunarpages hosting.

I also got a great deal on my hosting, i signed up for a years hosting and it only cost me €28.88 ($45.40) which is unbelievably cheap! It was supposed to cost me $95.40 but since i managed to get a hold of a $50 discount i was happy, really cheap hosting, i payed about $35 for my 3 month hosting with GoDaddy and managed to get 12 months of hosting with Lunarpages for only $45.40, definitely cant beat that.

Hamilton back on track

Posted by: Sean | Posted on: July 7th, 2008 | 0 Comments

Last Sunday (July 6th) the F1 Grand Prix was on at Silverstone, and of course i was routing for Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton immediately overtook the few cars on front of him to take the position behind his teammate Hekki Kovalainen who was in the lead, a few laps later the crowd began cheering Hamilton on to overtake, after he successfully took 1st place Hamilton continued the race by keeping cool and calm.

The race was not easy in any way at all, because the weather was terrible, it kept raining on and off for the whole race which caused the track to become very wet and slippery and full of puddles, which resulted in the racers having to take extra caution. A lot of cars began to spin on the track because of the loss of traction due to the bad weather.

Hamilton went on to finish the race and took first place on the podium followed by Heidfeld in second and Barrichello in third. The overall results now has three leaders all on 48 points however Hamilton is actually in first place.

It has also been announced that the British grand prix will be taking place in Donington Park from 2010.

Back From Galway

Posted by: Sean | Posted on: July 3rd, 2008 | 2 Comments

Last weekend (28th June) i went to Galway with all of my friends for a 21st party, it was great crack, we initially decided to stay just for the Saturday night and go home on the Sunday. We got up really early on Saturday morning at 6:30am and went to the train station at 7:30am, we had to get a train to Dublin then onto Galway from there.

The train ticket cost €68, for a return ticket. When we arrived in Dublin and made our way to the train there was a massive line, we had to sit on the train's floor for 3 hours to Galway! That really annoyed everyone since it was really warm and packed. When we arrived at Galway it just got better from there. We were staying in the college student accommodation, these rooms are rented out for the 3 months that the college is closed. They were brilliant, they only cost €35 a night and you got free travel in a mini bus to and from the city center, and we got free breakfast the next morning!! all included in the small price of €35.

We went out that night and since it was our friends 21st we were all dressed as pirates (ARRGH!!) We had  a great time everyone seemed to like us and were taking picture's of us and everything  after a great night of partying we all were looking forward to a good night's sleep, however it would have to be cut short since check out time was 10am sharp!!

When we all got up we decided that we would stay an extra night so went down to book the extra day, they said it would cost €60 for the extra night since we were booking it with such short notice, but then they told us that if we went into town and booked it through there website it would be even cheaper! And indeed it was it was only €30 to stay on the Sunday night, €5 cheaper than the previous night this was because it was a Sunday.

When we had it all sorted out we went around the city center and looked in the shops and had lunch, then after lunch we were passing a group of people setting up a mat on the ground, they were going to be putting on a show so we decided to sit and watch it, it was brilliant they done loads of acrobatic performances. Here they are in the pictures below.

Mad limbo

Head standing

That was a brilliant show

Later that day we went and lay about in Eyre Square

us in eyre square

Later that night we just had some drinks in the apartment and had the crack!

Then the next day we were back up at 10am and checked out and went around the city again until we got our train home at 3pm

The place we stayed in was called Corrib Village

It was definitely a great trip to remember!
