A while back I noticed that on Windows Vista there was no Telnet, the reason for this is that telnet is not secure and they decided to leave it out because they were trying to update their level of security. In windows 7 it’s the same thing, it has no telnet.

I have now found out how to get telnet on windows vista and windows 7. It is really simple and is done like this:

1. Open control panel.
2. Then go into programs.
3. Then in programs and features there should be a part that says ‘turn windows features on or off ‘ .
   
4. Click ‘turn windows features on or off ‘ then on the list that appears simply check the box beside: Telnet Client.
5. Then click ok.

Then it will simply work as normal. Hope this helps!

A really annoying thing that i came to find when looking at themes for wordpress was that a lot of the theme’s have there footers encrypted, this is usually found on free theme’s. This really began to annoy me becasue you could no longer edit the footer to include your name or to add things to it.

If you attempted to delete the code in the footer it would break your theme and cause a fatal error. The encrypted code in the footer would look something like this:

Like come on why do this, it just pisses people off! So instead of accepting defeat i decided i was going to find a way to get the footer back to how it should be ‘EDITABLE’. I found a really simple way to do this all you have to do is apply the theme with the encrypted footer then go to your main page then click tool then view the source of the page you are currently looking at. then go to the bottom of the code and you will see how the footer should look, simply highlight the code for the footer and then copy it and paste it over the encrypted code in the themes footer, simple!

SanDisk have or will be announcing soon that they will be releasing there new SSD drives, these are small and compact, silent and are much much faster than the standard hard drive found in most computers these days. The new SSD that SanDisk will be releasing is one of the cheapest on the market at the moment and is also the fastest out at the moment.

The great thing about this is that you can simply remove your current hard drive from your PC or laptop and put in a SSD and you will not have to modify your computer in anyway. These new SSD’s from SanDisk will be available mid 2009 and will be available in a variety of capacities such as the 128gb SSD drive for $249 (approx €182).

YouTube recently updated there video player to widescreen, at first this was not accepted by a lot of people, for some reason they did not like it. I think that it was one of the best things that YouTube have done in a long time, they have also now introduced High Definition (HD) with this update they finally match other popular video sharing sites such as vimeo.

In YouTubes previous update they released High Quality video, many people including me thought that this was as far as they were willing to go with improving the video playback quality, however it just turned out to be a stepping stone towards there release of HD.

You may be wondering how to allow people to view the video you uploaded in HD, well its simple once you upload a video with the resolution of 720p then when people click to view your video below it, it will say watch in HD

The most recent announcement from YouTube is the introduction of making the standard profile pages increase to 960 pixels, which is great it now allows for your widescreen videos to be featured in all there glory!

Some people may not be able to see the video’s in HD, the ‘watch in hd’ button does not display, this is because you do not have the latest version of flash installed, simply get it here and the you will be able to watch in HD
