Lewis Hamilton – First Win For 2009 Season

He finally did it, Lewis Hamilton won his first race today for the 2009 season of F1 Racing . It has been a long time coming but he definitely deserves it now after having such a slow and terrible start to the season.

As per usual I have only just finished watching the race, I record the races when they are on live and then watch them later. It is very difficult trying to avoid finding out who the winner is of the race for that day. I usually try to stay away from sites such as twitter on race days as I follow a lot of the formula one racers.

The new aero pack that was added to Lewis’ car last week has been slightly modified this week, and it has proven to be a great success so far. Hopefully this will be the start to many more successful races for the rest of the season .

I have always thought Lewis was the best driver and today he has pulled through again . Now there is going to be a four week break until the next race The racing teams will all take a week or two off now to rest and no work will be done.

Then once they start back they will be preparing for their next race, and trying to get that bit of extra juice out of their cars for when the qualifying starts.

There was definitely lots of action today in the race, with wheels flying off and drivers dropping out due to mechanical problems. Also there was great head to head action for the position of 1st, second and third.

Here are today’s race results: 1st place: Lewis Hamilton , 2nd place: Kimi Raikkonen and 3rd place: Mark Webber.
