Creating a portfolio site

I was just going to make another section to this blog, and put my portfolio in there. But I have decided against that now and have decided that it deserves its own entire website!
Not that I have a whole pile that it merits its own site, I just happen to have a domain which I do use, but to be honest it just remains static and I might as well put it to good use. The domain I am going to put my portfolio onto is SeanLucas.com. I bought this domain over a year ago, and up to now I have just really used it as a link to my blog, twitter and a few other sites.
Soon I will be giving it a complete overhaul and it will be home to some design work that I have done and also it will showcase some of the websites I have been working on, either for myself or for clients.
I have already begun to get the ball rolling on this portfolio, I have bought a theme from theme forest, which looks great. I think I will wait for it to be upgraded to wordpress before I put it live though. Apparently the developer is currently upgrading it to wordpress, if it turns out that it is going to take too long for him to port it to wordpress, I will just do it myself.
I was designing a new theme for SeanLucas.com, and it is ready and could just go up, but I have decided instead of having a new design with the same content I would just change the entire concept of the site and use it to showcase what I have done and can do!
I want to use SeanLucas.com as my sort of business page! I hope to build it up and get some more work out of the site, I will be creating a proper contact section on the site so any potential clients will be able to get in touch.
So once I have this all set up, I will go through it more in depth!
