Google – A change in design

As you can see from the two logos above, Google have made a few changes to their website. The first of these changes that you see is when you go to the Google homepage, they have changed the logo, above is the old logo on the left and their new one on the right.
Basically they have removed the shadow and taken away their TM sign also, and the colours look much more vibrant. The other change on the homepage is just a slightly lighter colour on the links at the bottom of the page where it says “Advertise Programs” etc.
I have also noticed that when you search from the homepage you cannot choose to search “Pages from Ireland”, now instead this is found in the new sidebar they have in the results page.
The search results page is definitely where most of the changes have happened, the new sidebar makes filtering though the search results simple, you can look for blogs and books with a simple click of a button!
The last change is in the footer, they have just tidied it up and have removed the little underlines that used to be on the numbers of the multiple pages of search results.
