Time for a new theme?

Last April I put this theme on my blog. I feel that it might be time to chop and change it a bit. I do like how it looks, but I feel that more could be done with it.

I like my logo, it looks really good and I don’t think I want it to change too much. I think however the page could do with a bit of brightening up, everything seems a bit dull.

There are things in my design that I want to move, for example in the footer there is links to recent posts, I want to move these to somewhere more visible so that they can be seen when people visit the site, because most people won’t scroll down to the footer, so to entice people to maybe stay a little longer I will move them somewhere else.

I also have a tag cloud in my footed, I really don’t see the point of the so that will most likely go, so the only thing left down there that takes up a fairly large amount of space is my recent comments, I will either try and find a new place for that or they will be going too!

My target is to get the new / modified theme up in April too just like I did last year.
