Exams Begin, 1 of 5

Today I began the first of my 5 final exams for college. As I thought, today’s exam (in Service Orientated Architecture) was very difficult. I was confident going in, I had covered everything that I needed to, but the thing that always gets me with exams is the way the questions are written. Questions are always written using words that I don’t always fully understand; I don’t know why lecturers insist with trying to confuse us! I know that on numerous occasions we have said to some of our lecturers that some of the language is a bit to hard to understand, and yet they still refuse to do anything about it, maybe they just do it to annoy us! I made a decent enough attempt at the exam anyway and I am confident that I have done enough to pass. Whether or not I get a high score is debatable, but for this module I would simply be happy to pass it. On the other-hand, I am happy to know that the hardest exam out of the 5 is out of the way! Tomorrow I have no exams so I will be putting together all my notes into one organised file for Wednesday exam, because my next exam is open book! It is strange to have an open book exam for a final exam; I never had one before, other than in class open book exams. The thing about open book exams is that more is expected from students, it is easy to think that there is no need to study for it, but I wouldn't be happy if I didn't at least take a look at the notes! So tomorrow I will be making sure I revise for that open book exam. People always say that since it is open book that it will be easier, I don’t agree at all with that, I think it might have easy questions, but for the answers a lot more is required so an extra difficulty level is added in!One Down, Five To Go

So today i had my first exam, it was in operating systems. I thought it went really well. I am fairly confident that i have passed and gotton a decent mark. We had to do 3 questions, the first was compulsory and then you had to do two more out of the three remaining.
I knew all of the questions, or at least the majority of each of the 4 questions. So now i have one exam down and 5 more to go :D
I have two days off now to revise for my next few exams.
Study Week

So this is the week before my exams begin. In total i will have 6 exams. They are spaced out over two weeks which is great because it leaves a gap of roughly 1 day between each exam. So this week, the week before the exams, there is no college :D
The reason there is no college is to give us a chance to prepare for the exams and cram, cram, cram! I always have the tendency to cram the night before. The likes of this study week i will be looking over my notes and getting ready for the exams, however i always find that i do my best studying the night before the exam. Usually this week will envolve me preparing my notes.
As it stands with my overall results so far, i reckon i should do alright in the final exams. This is because my classes are split into partial CA (Continuous Assessment) and partial exam based, which is next week. In most of my classes i have gotton really high CA results and i reckon that i have passed at least 2 exams already before i even go and sit the test next week:D This puts me at a bit more ease as i know that if i mess up on the test that i have allready passed and there will be no need to worry as much.
The last thing i want, is to fail any of my exams. Last summer i failed one of my exams and was forced to repeat it :( but the second time round i passed it :D This year however i intend to pass all my exams first time round and have my summer free to enjoy. And after all i have a lot planned for this summer with leaving the country a few times, so if i had to repeat an exam it would probably overlap with one of my trips out of Ireland which would be annoying.
