This weekend has been an extremely lazy weekend for me in relation to getting any work done online, most of this weekend I spent actually working in my job, and between working and sleeping I didn't have an awful lot of free time to myself. The only free time that I had was last night (Saturday) after work, which I ended up not spending at home, and watched the film Avatar, which is actually a great, film. I never saw it before and I really enjoyed it, bits of the film looked like a computer game though, but for the most part it was a great film. I think I will definitely be going out to buy the blu-ray disc of it :D.

Then onto today, since I didn't get to watch today's grand prix race live I had to set it to record, and I have just finished watching it before I started to write this blog post. Today's race was interesting and the unexpected happened, Vettel and Webber had a huge collision, just when they were in first and second position, on lap 41, CRASH!, into the side of each other, Vettel was forced to retire as his car was unfit to continue where Webber had to make a pit stop to repair the damages caused to his car. gp leaderboard as of 30-05-2010 That made it great for McLaren who now had Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button in first and second position :D. It was a great race and definitely a well deserved victory for McLaren! Now the championship leader board is really close with Lewis in third, Jenson in second with Webber in first! Bring on the Canadian grand prix in two weeks time!

Spanish Grand Prix – Can't believe it

Today's Grand Prix race came with a sudden twist at the end. The team I follow is McLaren and throughout the whole race they were performing really well. That was up until the second last lap where suddenly Lewis' tyre blew out and he lost control and crashed the car. I could not believe it, he was set to be on the podium again, last timeLewis' tire in spanish grand prix 2010 in China he was up there. I would be absolutely gutted if I had completed almost the entire race and was in with a good chance of winning and then suddenly have to retire due to a tyre blow out! The race was excellent though and I did not even expect Lewis to get as far as he did, I didn't know the drivers starting positions until today as I didn't get time to watch the qualifying laps. As soon as I saw that the two Red-Bull cars were in P1 and P2 I knew that it was going to be a good race, Webber and Vettel are great drivers and you can guarantee that if they qualify in those positions then they are likely to keep them. When Lewis suddenly overtook Vettel I couldn't believe it, I was sure that the race was going to finish with the two red bulls in P1 and P2 and Lewis staying in P3 where he qualified. Lewis' tire in spanish grand prix 2010Lewis has definitely lost a lot of points now because of this race, and will have to pull of some incredible races over the next few races to attempt to get back into the battle for world champion. Button is doing brilliant so far this season, currently up on top, leading by 3 points, it's not a lot but if he keeps up with these steady points he is going to be in with a good chance of winning world champion for the second time in two years. The next race is in Monaco next week, and this is definitely my most favourite track out of them all, it is usually full of action and the cars are in close to each other in lots of corners as they are sharp, I think what also makes these track interesting is that it takes place out on the streets! The people in the apartments around the street where the race takes place definitely have the best seats in the house! lewis hamilton mp4-25

The Best F1 Track

Posted by: Sean | Posted on: May 25th, 2009 | 2 Comments

I am a big fan of Formula One Racing; it is about the only sport that I have any interest in. I follow daily updates with what is going in the world of F1, I follow my favourite team McLaren on twitter and I also check up on the official F1 website. And then I have embedded the F1 minute updates into my sidebar here on the blog. My favourite racer is Louis Hamilton who races for McLaren, although he is not performing his best this season so far, he is getting better as the car begins to get better while trying to cope and adjust to the new racing regulations.

Monaco At Night

The Monaco racing track is the best track in my opinion. It keeps all the racers close together and makes overtaking virtually impossible and risky when it is attempted. Another reason I like it is because it is not a proper race track, it is just a normal road that is converted into a race track for the week that the race is being held.

Anyway today I slept in late until about lunchtime and then decided that when I got up I would wait until later to watch the race, I recorded it and decided to enjoy the sunny weather today :D

I then watched Britain’s Got Talent when it was on tonight and up until now I had done my best to not hear anything about the race and who had won it. And what do you know would happen? Bloody Piers Morgan at the beginning of Britain’s Got Talent decided he would compare one of the acts to the winner of Monaco’s race today! :( So basically all my work of trying to avoid finding out who won the race it was all for not because bloody Piers ruined it!

The race turned out to be great anyway with lots of action as expected and of course Jenson Button won the race as with his teammate Rubens Barrichello coming in second. Even though I knew who won the race I still enjoyed it but it would of being even better if I had of had no idea of who the winner was.
