Over the past few days i have been tweaking my website, trying to get everything back to the way it was, i have managed to do this but i could not fix my rss feed, it would not work for me. Everytime you would click the rss feed it said invalid, then when i tried setting it up on feedburner it told me that my website URL did not exist, but obviously it did because it was working.

So after a while i thought that maybe something might have gone wrong with the installation that lunarpages done when they installed Wordpress onto this blog, so i still had the files from wordpress on my old server so i decided to copy some of them over to this server, so the folder i decided to replace on this server was called wp_includes, so i began to transfer the files over which took a while, while i was transferring the files over my website went down because of syntax errors, but i let the transfer finish and when it finished my website went back up so i was happy it went back, and by replacing that folder with the old one i managed to get my rss to work again i went over to feedburner and signed the rss feed on my website up and it worked perfectly so i am happy with that.

My new site layout

Well as you can see i have recently changed the complete appearance of this website. I think that it was about time because everything kind of looked all over the place. This new theme (Wicketpixie) i have was created by Chris Pirillo and can be found here. This theme has everything in it, it allows all of my different accounts that i am signed up into to be all displayed on the one page, My Site!

When you get this theme it has all of Chris’s content in it such as live video’s and his Flickr and youtube account. It is a very easy process to change all this to your own content 

I have just recently signed up to Flickr and you can see all my pictures here.

There is one problem that everyone was having with this theme when it came out and that was that it would not display properly on Internet Explorer 7, like come on it works perfectly on every other browser such as firefox and safari. Considering that this theme is FREE to everyone, what you get is unbelievable. This theme could just have easily been made for purchase only!

Back to the problem with IE7 the reason it is not displaying properly is because this theme is still in development. This theme has been released early so that people can get the feel of it and if they like it they can donate for the further development of it.

I have made some CSS up to help fix the problem of the appearance of this blog in IE7, this CSS will align the navigation and search bar at top back to where they should be, the code is as follows:

New Apple iPhone 3G

Its official Apple have just announced that on July 11th they will be releasing the new iPhone 3G. The amazing thing about this is that not just is there new features like 3G but the price has literally been slashed in half. You used to have to pay $399 (Approx €255)  for an 8gb iPhone and $499 (Approx €319) for a 16gb iPhone, but as of this July 11th you will now only have to pay $199 (Approx €127) for the 8gb iPhone 3G and $299 (Approx €191)  for the 16gb iPhone 3G.

The 8gb iPhone 3G will be available only in black however they will be releasing the 16gb iPhone 3g in black & white so there is more choice if you go for the 16gb. There is also a hint now that they will be releasing a new update for iTunes, this update will be version 7.7. This is required for the new iPhone 3G.

This new iPhone 3G was announced at the wddc 2008 today (June 8th 2008).

I think that when this new iPhone gets released i will definitely be buying it.

First Attempt At Logo Designing

I spent some time yesterday trying to edit a logo for my new website, i did design a logo but it will not be the one that i will be using because i don’t think it looks good enough.

As you can see i used the idea of the bubble from the youtube logo, but on youtube its red. I think that its not a bad attempt on designing my first logo but i will have to put more effort into the next one.

My First Windows Vista Problem

I have never had any problems with windows vista. I have always heard of people going on and on about how they hate vista for a serious amount of reasons, i have not had any issues with all these problems people have been having with vista. I have to say i am very happy with windows vista i have not run into any problems whatsoever up until NOW!! Unfortunately i have found my first ‘flaw’ in vista, while watching videos across the internet i have always enjoyed the feature of being able to watch the video’s full screen, well you are probably thinking now that it is a given that we can watch them full screen, but i could not believe what happened to me the other day.

I was on youtube and wanted to watch a video full screen, for some reason my screen went black and i could not see the video but i could hear the sound, i immediately wondered what the hell was going on and pressed ESC and it went back to my normal browser window. I tried this a few more times and as a result i got this nice picture on my screen:

As you can see i got a BSOD, i had thought these had gone and instead your screen went white, it is common for programs to freeze and as a result your screen goes white instead of going the old way of blue. Well when this blue screen came up on my laptop there was no way to get rid of it except for pushing the power button and restarting, i submitted my error report to windows thinking that there would be no contact made back to me on what the hell happened to my screen but to my amazement i got a pop-up saying that a update is available that might be able to fix this problem, so i decided i would get this update, the update was to get a newer version of flash, i thought i already had the latest version so i went on over to www.adobe.com and got the newest version.

Hoping this would work i went back over to youtube and guess what, no joy . So i still have this stupid thing going wrong with these full screen videos and have no solution to it. I know it has nothing to do with youtube because i have had to reinstall my OS before for other reasons and before i done that there was always a problem with the full screen. I thought it might be a problem with my video driver and checked for errors and checked to see if there was any new updates for the driver and there was none. I now have no idea what to do with it and i know for definite that it is a windows error so if you know of any solution i would be very happy if you could give me some help
