The Best F1 Track

I am a big fan of Formula One Racing; it is about the only sport that I have any interest in. I follow daily updates with what is going in the world of F1, I follow my favourite team McLaren on twitter and I also check up on the official F1 website. And then I have embedded the F1 minute updates into my sidebar here on the blog. My favourite racer is Louis Hamilton who races for McLaren, although he is not performing his best this season so far, he is getting better as the car begins to get better while trying to cope and adjust to the new racing regulations.
The Monaco racing track is the best track in my opinion. It keeps all the racers close together and makes overtaking virtually impossible and risky when it is attempted. Another reason I like it is because it is not a proper race track, it is just a normal road that is converted into a race track for the week that the race is being held.
Anyway today I slept in late until about lunchtime and then decided that when I got up I would wait until later to watch the race, I recorded it and decided to enjoy the sunny weather today :D
I then watched Britain’s Got Talent when it was on tonight and up until now I had done my best to not hear anything about the race and who had won it. And what do you know would happen? Bloody Piers Morgan at the beginning of Britain’s Got Talent decided he would compare one of the acts to the winner of Monaco’s race today! :( So basically all my work of trying to avoid finding out who won the race it was all for not because bloody Piers ruined it!
The race turned out to be great anyway with lots of action as expected and of course Jenson Button won the race as with his teammate Rubens Barrichello coming in second. Even though I knew who won the race I still enjoyed it but it would of being even better if I had of had no idea of who the winner was.

The last race of the Formula 1 grand prix 2008 was a nail biting one. Hamilton had to come in 5th place or higher in order to become the world champion.
Just before the race was schelduled to start it suddenly started to rain, it was completely unpredictiable, the beginning of the race was put back for 10 minutes in order to allow the teams to make any necessary changes to there cars to make them cope with the wet conditions.
It was an extremly tense few laps at the start because they potentially make the result of the entire race.
Hamilton started forth on the grid.
A few laps before the end of the race the rain was starting to pick back up, it made a very difficult decison on all the drivers weather ot not they should pit for intermediate tyres.
Hamilton decided to pit and then when he rejoind the race he was in fifth just after Timo Glock who decided to stay out on dry tyres. Then as a complete shock to everyone on the last lap Sebastian Vettel overtook Hamilton putting Hamilton into 6th which would have lost him the world champion status.
Ferrai began to celebrate there victory since Hamilton had been knocked out of the win, this would of made Felipe Massa the World Champion.
However Ferrai's celebration was shortlived as moments later Timo Glock's pace began to decrease due to the increasing rainfall, this gave Hamilton the gap he needed to get back into 5th and grab the world championship status.
Although hamilton did not come first in this last race of the season it gave him the points he needed to become the overall winner. The race winner was Felipe Massa
In conculsion it was a brilliant nail biting race with a desevring overall winner, Lewis Hamilton. He is now the youngest World Champion F1 Driver.
Hamilton back on track

Last Sunday (July 6th) the F1 Grand Prix was on at Silverstone, and of course i was routing for Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton immediately overtook the few cars on front of him to take the position behind his teammate Hekki Kovalainen who was in the lead, a few laps later the crowd began cheering Hamilton on to overtake, after he successfully took 1st place Hamilton continued the race by keeping cool and calm.
The race was not easy in any way at all, because the weather was terrible, it kept raining on and off for the whole race which caused the track to become very wet and slippery and full of puddles, which resulted in the racers having to take extra caution. A lot of cars began to spin on the track because of the loss of traction due to the bad weather.
Hamilton went on to finish the race and took first place on the podium followed by Heidfeld in second and Barrichello in third. The overall results now has three leaders all on 48 points however Hamilton is actually in first place.
It has also been announced that the British grand prix will be taking place in Donington Park from 2010.
