A bit of a catch-up

It has been a while now since my last post so I thought I would say what I have been getting up to.
My last post was about fixing a few computer's for some people I know, I now finally have them fully fixed, I had intended on getting them all fixed and out of the way in one day however I ran into a big problem with fixing the laptop, I think this will merit its own blog post so that will be up in a few days.
Last month (March) was actually a really good month for me on this blog, I managed to get a lot more posts up than normal, last month I made 11 blog posts, may not seem like a lot for a whole month but when compared to previous months, it is a big improvement. The 4 months prior to March November 2009 - February 2010 had the same amount of posts combined as last month :D .
This month, April, I intend to keep up with some regular blog posts, I have a few ideas lined up and have drafted them so I won't forget about them! I find it easier in the long run to know what I want to say.
Later this month I will be setting myself a challenge! By setting myself a challenge I know I will have to keep at it and it will result in more blog posts going up also :D!
I have also recently really become addicted to messing about with my iPod Touch so I will be making a post about my favourite apps that I have.
Also I am working with Photoshop to design a website, now my design skills are not brilliant but I think with using Photoshop I can get what I want and then just create the rest with some css.
jQuery is also something new that I have had a look into recently, it is very complex to understand in my opinion, but there is so much that can be done with it, I hope to use a bit more of it in a website I am building at the moment. Once I have completed the site I am working on I will be sure to put it up here on my blog.
Update, what is to come…

For some reason I have managed to get half way through the month of November without making a single blog post! I know I am prone to going long periods without a post however I usually try to have 1 post by the 1st or 2nd of a new month!
Anyway, what has been keeping me busy? Since it is the Christmas season, I am now swamped with work! I have virtually no weekends anymore :( , working late after the store closes to get everything back in order for the next day takes a long time, with tidying and restocking.
I have been enjoying playing around with Windows 7 since its release date and as I said I will try and get a post up with my thoughts of the new OS!
Over the next week I will be getting a lot of reviews up on this site. I have bought a lot of things over the past few weeks and have yet to make my reviews on them! So for everyday next week (16th - 22nd of November) I will be posting a review a day! I said I had a lot of reviews to do :D .
I may even through in an odd normal blog post if I get the time in between writing these reviews :) .
Now to turn the focus to my blog, and its design. I said a while back that I am still not happy with the look of it, I feel it is still a bit dark and that it could do with a bit of a speed tweak! I have settled with a new theme for the blog and now I need to just add some personal changes to the theme.
Getting it to fit with certain components that I have on my site currently such as flickr and making sure that It will not break if I add it to my site. When adding new themes to a site it can always cause problems mainly because they can conflict with some plugins.
Back at work now

For the past two weeks i had been off work due to being in hospital and in turn i had to take time off from work on doctors’ orders. Now however i am allowed to get back to work :D .
Having time off from work is great, but it is only great when you plan it and have something planned to do. When it is not your choice, like having to go into hospital, then it is not so enjoyable.
When you are used to getting up and going into work it just becomes part of your normal daily routine, so when something that fills so many hours of your day is taken away it seems somewhat odd to have nothing to do.
Over recent weeks i have begun to get a lot more work on the side to do, such as making a few sites for some people. It is great to finally have people ask for my help, at least i know all my hard work is now not going to waste :D. I am also now fixing a lot of computer's and laptop's as it seems once one person breaks their computer usually a lot more suddenly break, or maybe this just happens for me, anyway there will be no complaining from me, as more work equals more money & experience :D .
